Toured into McCully basin from Salt Creek Summit via Wing Ridge. Photographed 2/22 avalanche reported by an unguided group of skiers staying at the McCully camp. Mt. Andy avalanche was reportedly remote triggered by skiers from near the top of the Cow's Face. Diamond 3, 4, and 5 may have been remote triggered by debris from Mt. Andy avalanche. These avalanches appear to have run on the interface between last three weeks or so of snowfall and the pre-existing faceted snowpack. Hopefully more information will be forthcoming.
Only other avalanche activity observed were roller balls on S aspects and a small wind slab below a cornice on Whitebark Ridge. Warm and gloppy below 7500', good powder in sheltered areas in alpine.
Diamond 3, 4, and 5. N aspect, 8500' start zone.
NW face of Mt. Andy (~9000').
Extent of debris from the two avalanche paths.
