I performed a test pit here specifically to see how the snow was shaping up (bonding) since these chutes/couloirs are popular descent routes. With more snow expected this weekend I wanted to get a feel for what it would be landing on.

Friday November 11. What a beautiful day!! Tad windy however. This is Pete's Point in Aneroid Basin.
Snow on the flats here is about 4" deep. Crusty in places. View looking NW with Lookout Mtn ski descents just to left partially out of frame.
This is the NE aspect of Dollar Ridge on November 11. Test pit at about 8250'.

November 11: Took summer trail past Aneroid lake to foot of Dollar Ridge. 2-6 inches of snow covered the trail in its entirety.
